The Evolution of Active Noise Cancellation

Active noise cancellation used to mean one fixed filter, tuned once in a lab and applied to every environment you walked into. It worked reasonably well on a plane, and noticeably worse everywhere else.

Adaptive ANC throws that model out. Instead of one static filter, Skyxis Pulse samples the world around you 50,000 times per second and recomputes its cancellation curve in real time — the hum of a train, the chatter of an office, and the wind on a run each get a different response, not the same generic one.

The result is less about cancelling more noise and more about cancelling the right noise: a system that gets out of the way of the sounds you want to hear, like a voice calling your name, while erasing the ones you don't.
